DESCRIPTION : I am working with a very highly rated Residential home for Children. The Care Inspectorate reports are glowing and having this organisation on your CV would be a great accolade.
Due to expansion, the organisation is looking additional support for the next six months.
The successful candidate will be working with children who have experienced trauma in their early lives and may have challenging behaviour and/or complex needs. Most of the children suffer from PTSD and the ability to care for and nurture them, as they deserve, is essential.
You would be working within residential childcare and / or a school setting. Roles are available on both short and long term contract and we offer excellent pay rates.

Your Responsibilities will include:
* Providing a loving and caring setting for the children in the home.
* Ensuring the therapeutic care of young people
* Meeting national care standards
* Supporting the young person to realise their dreams.
* Act as a positive role model for the individuals.
What we need from you:
* Ideally SVQ level 3 in Social Care/ SVQ level 3 in Childcare
* Proven track record working within professional care, especially with complex or challenging behaviours
* Flexible availability to work ad hoc shifts as well as days, evening and weekends.
* Able to communicate effectively at all levels
* Full UK drivers licence with use of a car (essential)
